By accessing or using Rake AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our service.

Description of Service

Rake AI is an AI-powered integrated development environment (IDE) specifically designed for embedded software development. Our service provides:

  • Hardware-aware AI assistance for embedded programming
  • Support for multiple microcontroller vendors (STM32, Nordic, ESP32, etc.)
  • Build and flash integration
  • PCB and schematic analysis
  • Desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Beta Software

Rake AI is currently in beta. This means the software is still under active development and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. By using the beta version, you acknowledge that the software is provided "as is" and may change significantly before the final release.

Account Registration

To use Rake AI, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be at least 13 years of age

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Rake AI to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our proprietary systems

Intellectual Property

Your Code

You retain all rights to the code you write using Rake AI. We do not claim ownership of your projects, source code, or any content you create.

Our Service

The Rake AI software, including its user interface, features, and documentation, is owned by Rake Labs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The software is licensed under the MIT License.

AI-Generated Content

When using our AI features:

  • AI suggestions are provided as assistance only
  • You are responsible for reviewing and testing all generated code
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content
  • You retain ownership of any code you accept and incorporate into your projects

Payment Terms

When we launch paid plans:

  • Subscription fees will be billed in advance
  • All fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Price changes will be communicated with 30 days notice

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAKE LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rake Labs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may also terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the service. Your continued use of Rake AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
